Hi! Welcome to Photography Addicted!🙂

Did you know that:

  • Instagram now has  more than 400 million active users;
  • 75% of Instagram users are outside the US;
  • Over 60% of users log in daily, making it the second most engaged network after Facebook;
  • 30% of internet users are now on Instagram?

Or, the most popular Instagram accounts are Instagram, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande and pizza is the most popular Instagrammed food, behind sushi and steak? (I don’t know if the sentence has sense, but I like it, especially the part of pizza. 😅🍕)

Pretty cool, huh?  BTW, my Instagram page is here. 😉

According to these stats, I decided to write some Instagram tips and tricks, hidden Instagram tips and tricks you probably didn’t know. Let’s do this! 💪

  1. See posts you’ve liked

Have you seen a photo with a boat neck loose sweater, fell in love with her, liked it, but you didn’t save it, and you regret? No problem, I have the solution. Just go on your profile, click “Options”, scroll down, Account ->”Posts you’ve liked”. Voile! But, in the future, I recommend you to save the photos on Instagram. This option it’s useful when you find photos that inspire you. I use it when I find quotes and examples of designs, photos that I love etc. 😉

  1. See your friends’ activity (likes, comments, follows)

I use it when I’m bored and I don’t know what to search… BTW you can discover interesting things. Ok, to see your friends activity, just go on your recent likes and followers and select “Following”.

  1. Remove your tag from friends posts or hide the photo

According to friends’ moments, you know the moment when you take a group selfie and your face is… silly. 🤓  That person post the photo and it is shown up on our tagged page. To remove the tag it’s simple. Go on your profile, “Photos of you”. Select the photo, click options, “Photo Options” . Select Remove tag. To hide from “Photos of you” page, click on “Keep in Photos of you”. Problem  resolved!

  1. Turn on notification posts

Maybe you know about this option. For example, you have an idol, you are a big fan and you wish to see the first his photos when they’re posted. You must go on his profile and click on 3 dot button symbol and select “Turn on post notifications”.

  1. Mute Instagram stories

Stories are popular now on Instagram. Many of users use it daily and their stories are bored/long/silly etc. You don’t like watching them. But if you don’t want to unfollow the users whose stories you’re not interested, what can you do? Just tap and hold any user’s little profile photo bubble in the stories feed and select the mute option from the menu that pops up at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Reorder filters

Instagram has amazing filters, but you don’t use all of them or you wish to reorder them. When you wish to edit a photo before posting it, get to the filters page, scroll to the very far right of your filters options and click “Manage.” To hide filters, deselect them by tapping on the white mark. To reorder them, just hold your finger down on the two grey lines on the far right of the filter you’d like to move, and drag it to reorder.
